#6 - Helpful Hints

Dear Life,

I have come across some simple helpful tips..

If you have guests coming over to your abode short notice, and you aren't a neat freak, and your house isn't perfectly in order, or in a mess here are some tips :)
1. Hide clutter...or at least arrange it nicely, it'll make your house automatically orderly!
2. WINDEX the mirror in your bathroom(s) and faucet..always, always do that!
3. Wipe down toilet, and pay attention to the back of it..and the behind seat part that always collects hair and fuzz!
4. Close the shower curtain!!
5. Make your bed..and arrange the pillows, or blankets, on your couch nicely
6. Lightly spray a nice perfume :)

Beauty tips (yeah i know, i am surprised i have these too lol)
1. To have a more relaxing shower light candles or incense!
2. Buff your skin(do when you are in shower/bath) and then lotion(after you are dry)! makes you super soft!
3. Buff and file your nails, makes them look nicer.
4. (this one is odd) Take your wet tooth brush after you brush your teeth or whenever (without toothpaste on it) and brush your lips! It gets dead skin off and makes them really soft, but you have to follow up with some lip balm, and I recommend Burt's Bees because they are all natural and if you get the mint one it makes your breath smell good and it makes your lips tingle (in a good way!)
5. For simple make up (this is usually what I wear, no joke) apply eyeliner to the bottom lid and mascara to the top eyelashes and lip balm. Yep, that's it..no cover up(which doesn't help with skin complexion and most people don't know how to put it on right)
6. Wash your face twice a day..with whatever works best for you!
7. Use whitening toothpaste when you brush your teeth!
8. 3 ways to get rid of black circles under your eyes:
A) Apply cucumber slices to your eyes every day for 10 minutes. Cucumber is known for bleaching dark circles, refreshing skin and reducing under eye puffiness. I use this method when I’m tired or stressed and it works miracles.
B) Put two teaspoons in the refrigerator, and wait for them to get cold. Once they are cold, lie down on your back and put the spoons on your dark circles until it gets warm. This should refresh the area underneath your eyes and banish the dark circles.
C) Cold tea bags on the eyes is also a very well known home remedy to eliminate black circles. It’s been used in my house since I can remember. The caffeine in tea helps drain water from the tissues around the eyes, diminishing puffiness and treating under eye circles. Tea also contains antioxidants that are beneficial to the skin. Don’t forget to squeeze out any excessive liquid in the teabags, before placing them on your eyes for about 10-15 minutes.
9. For homemade face masks here is a link (and it has a lot more homemade things on it!) http://www.free-makeup-tips.com/home-remedies/facial-masks.htm

Well I think that is all I have!

Love,
Chel-c
